MEET PASTOR WES

Pastor Wes Johnson is a trailblazing visionary, humanitarian, philanthropist, motivational speaker, author, social justice activist, and empowerment prophet, as well as the founder and lead pastor of the World Empowerment Spiritual Center.

Genesis

Pastor Wes was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.

For nearly 15 years, Wes was forced to endure some of the most unthinkable conditions that a child could ever endure. Wes left home in order to escape the unthinkable conditions, and after making numerous unwise decisions, he was arrested and sent to prison. Wes has spent over a decade incarcerated.

It must be noted that some of the greatest individuals ever to exist were, at one point or another, imprisoned due to their faith, beliefs, or mistakes. Individuals such as Jesus, the Apostle Paul, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and John Lewis are a few names that come to mind when thinking about great individuals who were incarcerated.

The above-named individuals never allowed their imprisonment to prevent them from being who they were, and they never allowed their imprisonment to prevent them from becoming who they were destined to become.

Pastor Wes is no exception.

In a cold, dark, and filthy prison cell, Pastor Wes was called on by God to empower all who sought to be empowered. In an exclusive interview, Pastor Wes says, “Just like God instructed Noah to build the Ark, God instructed me to build the World Empowerment Spiritual Center. I humbly accepted this calling, and I do not take it lightly. When I was at the lowest point in my life and felt that there was perhaps no point in life, God appeared. He elevated me, empowered me, and gave me a new life. I was so focused on my past failures that I was unable to see the amazing future that God had in store for me. I had almost completely given up, but when God appeared to me, the moment was so monumental that I instantly knew that God had not given up on me, and He gave me hope. God’s forgiveness and grace fulfilled me, and His love lifted me up.”
